Job Description – Technical Author
Codethink is seeking a Technical Author to join our world-class software engineering and consultancy team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role
Working with our product and project teams to create comprehensive documentation to support our international customers in various industries including automotive, medical, finance, electronics & semiconductors.
As a skilled wordsmith you will typically be involved in developing technical manuals, how-to guides, technical blogs, articles and other content. This will involve distilling specifications, demystifying jargon and getting to the bottom of engineers’ cryptic explanations.
Requirements
- Honours Degree.
- Proven technical author with some experience in one or more of the mentioned sectors.
- Ability to craft compelling and informative copy that leaves a lasting impression
- Excellent communication and research skills, with the ability to understand and distil complex information clearly and concisely.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
- Willingness to use/learn open source tools.
- Knowledge of markup languages (HTML, Markdown).
