Stores Assistant needed on a contract basis to support the Stores & Facilities Supervisor in contributing to an efficient Stores department, completing tasks in an efficient and timely manner
Key Responsibilities of the Stores Assistant:
*Receive all deliveries checking condition before signing driver's delivery notes.
*Check goods received against supplier's delivery note and purchase orders informing the Stores Supervisor of any variations.
*Enter delivery into goods receipt computer record, passing paperwork to relevant department and deliver goods to appropriate stores location.
*Assist in the inspection of incoming goods in accordance with the relevant inspection procedure ensuring parts meets the purchase order criteria.
*In the case of incorrectly supplied parts, liaise with Purchasing and the Quality Manager.
*Assist in the kitting of production route cards.
*Ensure physical and computer recorded stock quantities are the same.
*Ensure goods are stored in accordance with Health and Safety, suppliers, and company requirements.
*Select correct items to the pick list to fulfil delivery notes raised by Sales in a timely manner.
*Pack orders to be despatched in an appropriate manner to ensure safe arrival at our customers.
*Ensure that all appropriate documentation is sent with the goods.
*Ensure stock and stores are kept clean.
Qualifications & Experience of the Stores Assistant:
*Experience of working in a Stores/Warehouse environment.
*Basic understanding Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
