Yolk Recruitment are currently hiring for a Senior Communications Manager to take responsibility for the overarching PR and Comms strategy for a leading Welsh organisation. Although not essential, Welsh language skills would be a huge advantage for this role.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Reporting in to the Head of Digital, you'll develop and deliver an impactful PR, communications and brand storytelling strategy for the organization which increases reach and develops brand reputation.
You'll work collaboratively across the marketing and communications team to develop copywriting, storytelling and content strands – developing key narratives that communicate the organisation's role and values.
You'll work alongside Work alongside internal teams and agencies to ensure institutional messaging is consistent across platforms and reach is optimized.
You'll manage the Communications Manager to ensure efficient day to day running of press and media relations and enquiries including managing press campaigns with visiting productions and wider activities.
You'll take responsibility for ensuring that the communications strategy is relevant and futureproof, ensuring new ways to connect with audiences across the changing media landscape are sought, including podcasts, social media networks and other emerging digital platforms; implement a holistic evaluation method for press and media campaigns.
You'll work with the Head of Brand and Digital and Communications Manager to proactively plan for potential issues that may arise and mitigate any risks to reputation via negative social media comments and unforeseen events. Develop and train others in crisis communications plans.
You'll schedule and activate launch campaigns, press nights and events that engage stakeholders, funders and the creative community.

The skills and experience you'll bring to the role:

You'll possess the ability to think creatively, offering solutions to a variety of challenges in a busy environment.
You'll be a strong team leader with an open and honest communication style.
You'll possess the ability to coach and develop other team members.
You'll have strong administrative and IT skills with ability to create and maintain accurate records and work to agreed time schedules and budgets.
You'll be someone who is naturally self motivated. A completer-finisher with an eye for detail and the ability to achieve set objectives without supervision.
The ability to speak and write in Welsh is highly desirable, however, not essential for this role.

35 hour working week with flexibility around start and finish times
A starting salary of £39,000 – £45,000 p/a
25 days holiday with the option to buy/sell days
Flexible/hybrid working options (preferably 3 office/2 from home – with requirement for flexibility to work around events/press meetings etc.)
