A medium-sized firm near St. Albans is seeking a talented individual to join their dedicated team.
As a Senior Accountant with them, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of medium-sized clients, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
Oversee statutory accounts preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
Provide strategic financial guidance to clients, offering insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
ACCA or ACA Qualified
Proven experience in an accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to build strong client relationships.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
