Salary range: £35,000 – £40,000 dependant on experience

The company:
A Leading R&D Biotechnology organisation with heavy investments into cutting edge research are looking to appoint a Support Specialist Scientist.
My client provides tools for leading researchers in life sciences and clinical diagnostics with a global market presence for its excellence, spanning over 3 decades.
The role:
With your technical expertise and scientific background, you will provide customers with technical advice through the phone, email and on-line chat, providing information in response to product enquiries or complaints. Additionally you will provide support on leading edge products and systems throughout the UK and Europe.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting through previous laboratory and product knowledge.
* Liaise with other corporate sites for support or quality control data.
* Ensure customers receive a high level of service both in terms of speed and quality of response.

* Carry out product change and amendments as required by customers.
* Provide product training to new starters on various products and systems.
* Work with the Sales Managers for each region to ensure the best customer experience for all EMEA customers via product support and troubleshooting when required.
Requirements:
* PhD in a Life Science (Preferable Immunology/Molecular Biology) or B.Sc. and 5+ years laboratory experience.
* Significant laboratory experience, including at least 2 of the following Western Blots techniques: Flow, IHC, ELISA, FACS, IHC, ICC, Luminex.
* Experience in ISH and/or molecular biology techniques are essential for this role.
* Fluent written and spoken English, essential.
* Additional European language (German, French, Spanish, Italian), beneficial but not essential.
* Good telephone manner.
