Repair Technician

Brief Role Description:

We are supporting our client who are a successful manufacturer of Safety Critical Components, in their search for a Repair Technician to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities:

* Repair / build of electro-mechanical sub-systems (e.g., robotic joints and other field replaceable units) following service protocols & work instructions

* Testing and calibration of integrated electro-mechanical assemblies using pre-defined

* Coordinating the calibration of tools and test equipment

* Maintain records of work

* Supporting best practice in our lab spaces

* We are a high growth company and as such roles change and evolve. We would generally expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the field service remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.

About You:

* Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly or test (preferably within a regulated environment such as medical/pharmaceutical or aerospace)

* Attention to detail and quality with a willingness to continually improve processes

* A strong problem-solving mindset

* Ability to interpret and follow schematics and technical drawings

* The ability to keep accurate records, in line with the Company’s Quality Management System

* Experience using test/measurement equipment such as bench power supplies, multi-meters and oscilloscopes

* A meticulous approach to repair, assembly, lab, and tool use

* A can-do attitude for a variety of tasks

* Familiarity with ISO 13485, and ESD awareness are desirable.

* Naturally you’ll have a relevant NVQ / BTEC qualification, and at least 5 GCSEs at greater than C grade. Good written English is essential, as is the ability to use Microsoft Office suite tools, including Excel.

* Experience of Jira (Atlassian software) is desirable.
