Principal Electronics Engineer

This rapidly growing team spun-out from the University of Cambridge in 2018. They’ve secured new state-of-the-art lab space in Cambridge and are growing very quickly.

The Role:

Design, develop and implement analogue and digital electronics systems for quantum technology systems including QRNGs and other components such as single-photon sources and detectors. 

About you:

Excellent degree in a numerate subject such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Maths
Significant experience working in industry
Analogue circuit design:
Single-ended and differential signalling, impedance matching, microstrips and co-planar waveguides
Signal generation, RF
SPICE simulation
PCB layout and fabrication
Thermo-electric coolers
Laser drivers
Digital circuit design:
RTL design using VHDL or Verilog
RTL simulation
FPGA
High-speed interfaces including PCIe and ethernet
C/C++/C#, Python and LabVIEW  Start: ASAP
Location: Cambridge, UK
Salary: £60,000 to £65,000
