Management Accountant

A Technology based Insurance firm, located in Essex, looking for a Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.
Working in an exciting and growing Insurance company and reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to join a dynamic and friendly Finance team while developing their career!
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting and budgeting – owning and building models.
Understanding the key drivers and metrics associated with the businesses
Reviewing underwriting performance of the insurance products and keeping your finger on the pulse of it.
Modelling of business cases where required by the business.
Accounting, actively involved in ensuring high levels of accuracy and timeliness are maintained
Involvement in the Management accounts preparation including journal preparation & Flash accounts preparation
Balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations (incl. where appropriate between operating and financial systems)
Review of monthly business metrics and KPI's, and, where appropriate comparison to budgets and forecasts.
Assist Financial Controller and Finance team as and when requiredThe ideal candidate will be fully qualified, have great analytical skills and previous experience business partnering. Attention to detail while being deadline oriented and having a quality understanding of Excel would be essential.
