Job DescriptionLead Software Engineer/Developer (C#, Azure, .NET, Azure DevOps, React.js, CI/CD). Are you an experienced software engineer looking for an exciting challenge? As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining our client’s digital platform, transforming their ways of working. Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you will leverage your expertise in .NET technologies and leadership skills to drive technical innovation and excellence. You’ll work across front-end and back-end technology stacks, staying enthusiastic about emerging technologies that can enhance our business. Collaborating with Architects, Engineering, and Delivery teams, you will advise on technical solutions and ensure high-quality standards are met.Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office) Salary: £61,000 – £67,800 per annum plus benefits Visa Sponsorship: Available (must currently reside and work in the UK). Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of Software Developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software within project deadlines. Provide planning, guidance, and direction to the team, assisting IT Heads. Take ownership of all work developed by team members, ensuring quality and consistency.Mentor, coach, and guide software developers to foster growth and development. Drive the DevOps maturity roadmap, ensuring the smooth operation and support of live systems.Contribute to the enterprise technology strategy and roadmap. Maintain scalable and maintainable development and test processes, adhering to SDLC. Create and maintain system and support documentation. Participate in agile scrum ceremonies and software development discussions. Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of developers. Extensive development experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, TDD, unit testing, and an understanding of BDD. Strong knowledge of SQL Server and NoSQL (ideally CosmosDB). Proficiency with mainstream JS frameworks like React.js, source control using GIT, and design patterns. Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Azure services.
