About the Opportunity:
My client focuses on the restoration of ecosystems globally, aiming to promote biodiversity and rejuvenate natural habitats using cutting edge AI/ML and Computer Vision solutions he help to addressing climate change through innovative technology solutions to their clients all over the world.
They are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with some Commercial experience in this area with at least 6-12 months of MLOps experience (Part of the work of a Data Scientist) – and someone who shares our passion for restoring the natural world at scale as the Innovation and R&D team grows and expands building new solutions and products.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our clients mission by developing innovative software solutions, exploring the latest technologies, and mentoring fellow team members. Your work will involve analyzing diverse data sets to evaluate land conditions and potential for carbon sequestration and biodiversity.
Qualifications:
- Some experience of MLOps and able to provide support for this when required by the team (This is not a full time MLOps role)
– Proven experience in implementing advanced computer vision techniques
– Demonstrated expertise in creating machine learning training datasets
– Strong theoretical understanding of machine learning and neural networks
– Strong Proficiency in Python programming and relevant libraries
– Experience with Deep Learning Frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, Keras, or Tensorflow
– Familiarity with various machine learning methodologies
– Experience with task orchestration frameworks and cloud services deployment
– Background in scaling workloads using distributed computing frameworks
– Strong appreciation for code quality and testing
– Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
