anzuk are working with a great school in the centre of Bristol to recruit a Cover Supervisor with experience of leading sports sessions for a short-term contract starting on the 11th of November.
The school has a fantastic reputation for academic achievement and extra-curricular activities. The role will involve covering lessons in the morning where you will supervise students in a classroom setting whilst they complete work set by their teacher or undertake quiet reading time. In the afternoons you will supervise sports sessions and will be responsible for managing groups of students outdoors.
The key responsibilities of a cover supervisor/unqualified teacher typically involve:
Delivering assigned lesson plans in a structured manner, to promote complete pupil engagement in the learning activities
Utilising effective behavioural management techniques to assist in promoting an optimal learning environment within the classroom.
Undertake additional duties, such as break and lunch duties, as and when is required The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working in a secondary school setting
Be confident and experienced in leading groups of students with sports or outdoor activities Requirements of the role:
To apply and commence working with us you must meet the below criteria:
Possess an Enhanced Child DBS with an update service subscription, or demonstrate the willingness to apply for one through anzuk
Possess an updated CV, outlining paid employment covering the last two years – any gaps in employment must be accounted for
Be based in Bristol, or surrounding areas, and able to provide a valid police check from countries you have lived in (outside of the UK) within the last 5 years
Be able to show experience working with children in a coaching, tutoring, teaching or mentoring role Salary:
Cover supervisors/unqualified teachers receive daily rates ranging from £70 – £80 per day, dependent upon previous experience.
