Job Description

Joining the team as the Business Analyst Team Leader, you will lead a team providing business analysts expertise to a third party logistics company across its application landscape comprising of Transport, Warehouse, Order processing, invoicing and other peripheral systems.The selected candidate will be expected to deliver both leadership and complete business analysis tasks.

Working hours: 09.00-17.00 (Hybrid working) 

This position is flexible on location within the UK, Desborough, Lutterworth, Rugby or Deeside are preferable.

Key Duties of a Business Analyst Team Leader:

  • Planning and resource allocation of the BA team according to priorities set by the business.
  • Providing status updates from the BA team, ensuring that the team delivers in line with its commitments.
  • Working with the Business Systems Manager to define best practice for the Culina Business Analyst team and champion adherence.
  • Coaching, reviewing and encouraging growth of team utilising and following processes provider from the wider Müller Group.
  • Recruiting for an expanding BA team and managing the on-boarding process
  • Proactively identify business process improvement opportunities and lead business process change.
  • Understand internal and external client requirements; propose and deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
  • Lead investigations, stakeholder analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility studies and impact assessments.
  • Review proposed benefits and highlight any risks/issues in new/redesigned processes/solutions
  • Apply the use of standards, methods and tools for requirements capture, process modelling, fit-gap analysis, risk/impact evaluation.
  • Ensure solutions implemented across organisation are aligned to Culina Group standards and Audit requirements.
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers and internal technical resource against agreed scope of works, timescales and costs.
  • Gain awareness of business needs, manage customer expectations, build and maintain relationships.
  • Evaluate requirements and provide best practice solutions, leveraging standard product offerings and to evaluate deployment of technical solutions against success criteria.
  • Pro-active support to minimize downtime to live applications. I.e. by identifying and resolving underlying issues and liaising with external vendors as required.
  • Liaise with IT Helpdesk, Infrastructure and Development Teams to ensure the system can be implemented in the live environment with the necessary backup & disaster recovery procedures in place.

Qualifications

  • IT Qualifications: BSc or equivalent business experience.
  • Experience of four or more full project life cycle implementations and be able to demonstrate that you played a key role in these implementations.
  • Strong understanding of the logistics industry and experience with telematics software.
  • Proficient in both software & hardware mobile solutions.
  • Proficient in Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
  • Familiar with at least one help desk and customer support tool.
  • Proficient in Software Testing and Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Proficient in ITIL processes and practices.
  • Proficient in Business Process Analysis (as-is and to-be). Additional advantageous skills, experience, and familiarity:
  • Two years’ experience in a senior project support role or leading a project team.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience of developing business systems, ideally in logistics businesses
