This new Building Surveyor role, resulting from a resurgence of business opportunities, sits in the Building Consultancy team of a multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Surveyors; a firm with an enticing array of corporate benefits.

The experienced team of Building Surveyors within the Professional Services Division has local, regional and specialist knowledge. This, together with the available resources and expertise in the wider firm, ensures that they are able to provide clients with the best possible advice throughout Kent, and parts of London.

The team has excellent technical knowledge on a range of residential and commercial property and is able to provide relevant, practical and concise advice.

The Practice is once again seeing strong demand for their surveying services and there is a need therefore to strengthen the team with someone who has in-depth experience.

Building Surveyor

You have strong Building Surveying Consultancy skills across a wide spectrum of service areas enabling you to deliver professional and project services. These services will include:

Dilapidations advice for both tenants and landlords
Party wall notices and awards
Planned/reactive maintenance
Pre-acquisition surveys
Effective project management
Contract administration
Bank funded Construction & Development Monitoring
Insurance Reinstatement Cost AssessmentsYou

With Building Surveyor skills in most service areas you will be responsible for delivering both professional and project services. Your background will most likely include:

A good education with a degree in Building Surveying or related subject
Experience of managing and communicating well, with clients and colleagues
Sound commercial awareness
Consistent attention to detail
AutoCAD with knowledge & experience of drafting technical documents.
Negotiation of party wall cases
Experience of managing and resolving dilapidation claims
Report writing, project management and recommendations
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements
