Our client is looking to appoint an Accountant to be based in Inverness. This excellent career opportunity would suit a Fully Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant with prior experience in an accountancy practice environment. Hybrid working is avaialble for this role with a requirement for regular visits to the Inverness office for meetings.
Role Requirements:
Managing a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Preparing statutory accounts.
Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
Preparing and reviewing management accounts.
Providing support to clients on accounting software.
Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
Identifying opportunities for the practice to add value to clients.
Person Specification:
ICAS/ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or equivalent by experience.
Previous experience of statutory accounts preparation in an accountancy practice.
Strong technical accounting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to manage and develop client relationships.
Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar.
