Warehouse Supervisor

Our Client

A Warehouse Supervisor is required by our client based in Northamptonshire. Hours will be rotating, one week early (0600hrs – 1400hrs) and the next week afternoon (1000hrs – 1800hrs). You will be working along side another supervisor and your will both have shared direct reports, this is a small warehouse and team. You will need to be able to drive as the location is rural.

The Role

As Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. Supervise the daily activities and employee’s performance during their shift, whilst being responsible for enforcing health and safety regulations.

Goods in & stock put away

Assigning workloads to staff

Ready orders for despatch

Load vehicles for outbound

Put together manifests

Ensure H&S compliance

Stock control on consumable packaging

Organise waste and recycling

Ensure the facility is secure and a safe environment

Control the maintenance and serviceability of warehouse equipment

Assign staff members to tasks

Supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed on time and according to safety laws

Open or close the warehouse at the start and end of the day

Evaluate staff performance and provide training where necessary

Resolve workplace disputes if necessary

Key Skills

Previous experience as a Shift Supervisor or similar level role

Full understanding of industry safety standards

Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel

Ability to train other members of staff

Hold a valid forklift license

Experience with maintaining records

The ability to work with intuition and minimal guidance
