VANRATH are proud to represent this excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to advance their career in tax. This global law firm are seeking a UK Tax Accountant to join their in-house Tax team. This role is ideal for candidates who are either part-qualified or newly qualified ACA/CTA (or equivalent) with solid corporate or mixed tax experience. What you will do: Prepare business tax computations (corporate and partnership) for group entities, including the primary LLP with profits of £500m+. Ensure timely submission of corporate and partnership tax returns to HM Revenue & Customs. Prepare and submit governance returns, including SAO and the annual Economic Crime Levy returns. Contribute to the year-end closing process, including Deferred Tax calculations. Assist in tax accounting and preparation of tax notes for statutory accounts disclosures. Complete UK VAT returns and manage VAT accounting and reconciliation. Advise partners and finance teams on complex VAT matters. Engage in various projects, such as research and analysis of complex tax issues, capital allowances, employment tax aspects, tax digitalization (including MTD), and business restructuring. What You Will Have: Experience in preparing UK tax computations for entities within a large group. Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel. Ability to analyze and communicate complex tax and accounting matters clearly to non-specialists, both orally and in writing. Experience submitting corporate and partnership tax returns using tax software (e.g., Alphatax, CCH Personal Tax) is desirable, but training will be provided. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with partners, external tax advisers, HMRC, finance teams, and other support functions. Collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across teams in London, Belfast, and globally. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of tax issues affecting professional partnerships is a plus. Relevant professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA/ATT) with experience in tax is essential. What’s in it for you ?
