Transport Manager

Location: Flexible – Based in Cambridge or Cannock (Other areas and partial work from home is an option)

Grade: 5.2

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 Dependent on experience, plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday -Friday 9am – 5:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual to make a name for themselves within the business by delivering a complex end-to-end recycling logistic solution with critical logistic requirements for our new major contract.

As a Transport Manager you will be Responsible for managing all transport teams, internal and external to ensure delivery of projects on time and smooth operations

The role can be based either at our Cambridge or Cannock office (or any other veolia site) depending on your location and also has the option for part-time home working. The role will also include Travelling nationally so own transport would be ideal.

What will you be doing?

Schedule and manage transport of goods and waste for the project
Managing invoice disputes
Resolving customer queries
Managing purchase orders, requests for transport costs and demurrage/wasted journey charges.
Reporting on utilisation and capacity of internal and external fleet teams
Compliance with all Veolia policies and procedures
