We are now recruiting at their London location for a Trade Compliance Coordinator your role will involve the compliance in three main areas: Trade Compliance, Logistics Intelligence, and Logistics Promotion for the company
Key Responsibilities:
? Support business departments in compliance procedures, customs issues (customs valuation, classification, special customs authorisation and other import / export requirements, updating advice / documentation), export controls and sanctions as necessary.
? Support business departments through the REACH and CLP compliance program and monitor compliance of the regulatory requirements.
? Improve Logistics and Risk Management knowledge and skills in the Logistics Strategy dept. and the company through attending and giving seminars.
? Improving and creating materials to help support the Logistics Strategy dept. activities including the e-learning platform.
? Promote systemisation and maintenance to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the activities of the Logistics Strategy dept.
? Manage departmental administrative requirements as necessary.
? Reporting to GM and DGM in a clear way as required.
Experience:
? Extensive Customs, Transportation / Forwarding experience in the international logistics industry
? Experience working within a multinational trading environment
? Experience working within the Transportation industry / global logistics with involvement in customs procedures.
? Good knowledge of business practice in the logistics of international trading / investment companies and logistics industry including the use and applications of incoterms, international payment practices, shipping line, airline and port ways of working, customs including FTAs/EPAs, customs related documentation, insurance (Marine, Cargo, and liability), export controls and sanctions procedures.
? Working with both EU and non-EU Forwarders, Customs and other related parties.
? Experience in Reach and CLP monitoring compliance
? Fluent English is mandatory and knowledge of European or other languages would be an advantage.
