Test Manager – Higher Education
About the Role:
Prolifics Testing seeks a Test Manager with excellent technical skills and proven abilities in team management and UAT experience. There will be high expectations on qualifying experience with a range of test phases, including functional, integration, regression, acceptance, and automation.
The work will be spread between the Borehamwood office and client-based assignments, predominantly in the London area.
The ideal candidate would have consulting experience working in the UK Higher Education and not-for-profit sectors, though the role will involve a variety of projects, domains, technologies, and customers.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 6+ years testing experience
- Proven record of leading testing projects, developing strategies, plans, etc.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating UAT with users of various levels
- Solid understanding of Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, and Test Automation
- Exposure to a wide range of projects: commercial off-the-shelf enterprise applications, integration, APIs, etc.
- Experience in a Lead capacity for test management – including scoping and estimates, allocation of work, monitoring of progress, tracking and reporting
- History of successfully managing projects delivered using offshore resources (either full or partial)
- Proficiency with both agile and waterfall methodologies

- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Career minded; genuinely committed, energetic, and enthusiastic about testing
- A technical leader, capable of integrating with an existing team and taking the lead on multiple testing projects as needed
- Experience working in a variety of different technical environments with team members at various levels
- Practical and proactive
- Ability to grasp concepts quickly and appreciate the implications of decisions
- Works well autonomously with a focus on delivery
- Eagerness to learn and an aptitude for picking things up quickly
