The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Technician within the Precision Medicine Centre (PMC) within Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research. The successful candidate will provide a technical support service to academic and research staff and students. The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. 5 GCSE’s A-C and/or NVQ level 2 in relevant subject (or equivalent). 1 years’ relevant experience to include: At least 6 months working in a busy laboratory or laboratory prep area. Previous experience in laboratory waste disposal and hazardous chemical handling/disposal. Experience of using/maintaining general laboratory equipment. This post is available on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
