We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Structural Engineer to join our client’s team based in the scenic city of Inverness, UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is looking to advance their career. It is envisaged that you would be focused on successfully delivering projects and leading a team of engineers whilst playing a crucial role in shaping future projects and expanding there presence across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure projects are executed with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver project goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate team activities, delegate tasks, and ensure project schedules are met whilst helping to mentor and develop junior staff.

2. Business Development

  • Assist in identifying business opportunities and participate in proposal development.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the Inverness office by actively engaging in marketing and networking activities.

3. Technical Excellence:

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure that all engineering designs and solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices. Collaborate with the technical team to develop
  • innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE or working towards imminently sitting their Professional Review.
5+ years of experience in civil engineering with experience of project leadership and supervision. Experience in the water or structural sector within Scotland is beneficial but all areas of expertise will be considered.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
