Street Lighting Supervisor

This role is to deliver an end-to-end Street lighting highway service to include routine maintenance, investigations, surveys, repairs, and improvements. The purpose of the role is to Supervise, plan, programme and organise delivery on site the Council’s program plus any other work streams that the Street Lighting Team are commissioned to deliver to meet or exceed the required deliverables.
Responsibilities
• Work as part of the Highway Street Lighting Team
• Ensuring that projects are developed and delivered safely on time and to budget as per the Works Information.
• Ensure that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM 2015.
• Manage and direct a team of Street Lighting Operatives and Supply Chain Partners
• Plan, Programme and Deliver a package of Capital and Revenue Street Lighting schemes and repairs.
Requirements
• Preference will be given to candidates holding some or all of the following qualifications: –
o NRSWA Supervisor, SSSTS, SMSTS, HERs Qualified Supervisor, First Aid at Work.
• Experience working in the construction industry, Highways and Street Lighting, preferred.
• Experience undertaking Street Lighting work in the vicinity of underground services preferred.
• Experience in the supervision or use of traffic management preferred.
• Able to take responsibility for traffic management, 12 A/B Traffic Management
