Site Manager – Cambridge

I am looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing business in the Cambridgeshire areas.

They are ideally looking for a candidate who has worked for a main contractor, the role will include:

• Complete detailed preparation for the site; studying drawings and specifications and completing site inspections

• Schedule materials in line with the programme, whilst maintaining minimum stock levels

• Carry out routine inspections to ensure that instructions are carried out, the specification and site presentation requirements are complied with, and the required quality standards are met

• Carry out visits to customers and resolve any issues that may have arisen

• Feedback design improvement and innovations through the Construction Manager

• Check and authorise the fortnightly/monthly sub-contractor requests for payment

• Ensure materials are stored securely

• Advise the Construction Manager of material shortages and excesses in order to adjust schedules • Lead and motivate the site team

• Carry out toolbox talks and less formal one-to-one communication with site employees

• Take responsibility for H&S across the site
