Our client is a leading, well-established corporation that supports some the UK's largest finance institutions. They are searching for IT Support Engineer to join a specialist Microsoft Engineering team working on a 24 x 7-service pattern of 12 – hour shifts between 8pm – 8am.

Our client are focused on expanding, increasing their horizons and progressing their engineers rapidly, from 1st through to 3rd line support. Offering training and progression within a dynamic and friendly team environment.

Role overview:
This role will be providing a full 24 x 7 service support model and the candidate will join their specialist team providing Global Service Desk support on repeated shift pattern, covering an average week of 38.5 hours.

Additionally, you will be subject to the following:
As a Technical Support Engineer you will work within a shift pattern providing a mixture of 1st/2nd/3rd line service desk/remote support, field support and the installation of IT projects and managed services to our growing customer base primarily London and the South.
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, you will work closely with other service engineers in the Platforms, Infrastructure and Internet Services Teams.
Be exposed to the following technologies Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Wireless Technologies, Printers, Desktops and Servers and Telephony and Connectivity services.

Technical Exposure:
Microsoft Desktop & Office Systems
Microsoft Server and Virtualisation Technologies
Active Directory Security and Administration, GPO
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Support of hardware, printers, desktops and servers
Email, Antivirus & Backup software
Networking knowledge regarding WAN, LAN, VLAN, VPN, WLAN, layer 2/3 switching, Firewalls and routers
Mobile devices/phones

Package:
£32,000 – Base Salary Circa
Bonus – 15 – 20%
Training – Server build rooms available.
