Job Summary:
The company is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects and financial control.
Duties:
Prepare tender documents, contracts, and other legal procurement documents.
Monitor project costs throughout construction, identifying any potential cost overruns.
Manage subcontractor accounts and relationships.
Collaborate with project managers, site quantity surveyors, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality of work, and compliance with specifications.
Prepare progress reports and financial statements for clients and stakeholders.
Provide advice on value engineering opportunities to optimise project costs without compromising quality.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with JCT construction contracts and legal requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of surveying experience required.
Driving licence required.
Willingness to travel.
Proficient in English.
