I’m working with a global leader in manufacturing and maintenance services for the energy industry who are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team in Great Yarmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a fantastic reputation in their field and are looking to expand in 2024.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities of the Senior Project Engineer are:Manage project activities, directing Project Engineers and collaborating with various stakeholders.Design hydraulic/pneumatic systems in compliance with project specifications.Handle financial aspects of projects, including expenditure, profit, and contract variations.Ensure project schedules are met, maintain progress knowledge, and prepare monthly reports.Interpret and implement technical and commercial project specifications.Oversee procurement and conduct technical evaluations to maintain cost efficiency.Prepare equipment test programs, ensuring compliance with commercial conditions.QHSEDemonstrate personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment.Follow client’s QHSE Policies and Safety Management Systems where appropriate.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lead by example.To be considered for the Senior Project Engineer position, you will need:Education & Training: Honours Degree or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, resilient and calm under pressure.General & Specialist Knowledge: Understanding and implementation of engineering specifications, experience in managing engineering contracts and commercial negotiations, proficient in Windows-based software.Relevant Experience: Proven track record in designing Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Electrical topside equipment for the Oil & Gas Industry, good working knowledge/understanding of Hazardous Area rules and regulations (ATEX, CSA, IECEX), Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and Machinery Directive.In return, our client is offering the following to the successful Senior Project Engineer:£47,000 – £50,00025 days annual leave plus the option to buy up to 5 additional days annual leaveLong Service Reward Scheme including additional leave after 5 years’ serviceLife insurancePension contribution at 4%Employee Assistance Programme providing support and expert advice for both professional and personal matters.Wellbeing support from fully trained Mental Health First AidersHealth Cash Plan offering a range of benefits including cash back on optical, dental, physiotherapy and wellbeing services.Cycle to Work SchemeDeals and discounts on a range of online and high street retailers.Free Parking
