Senior Building Control Surveyor

East Cambridgeshire District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join their team based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £34,728 – £39,880 per annum plus market supplement

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week

Senior Building Control Surveyor – The Role:

East Cambridgeshire District Council’s positive and pro-active approach to development has resulted in a period of growth within the district. The Building Control team are passionate about providing a personal and professional service, adding value to construction projects through early advice and a responsive on-site service.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Building Control Surveyor with excellent understanding of building control legislation and commercial awareness.

Senior Building Control Surveyor – You:

Educated to Degree level or HNC or with a relevant technical qualification in construction, you will need to be a professional member of CIOB, RICS, CABE or meet the full criteria for acquiring it and have proven management or supervisory experience. You will have experience of supervising commercial projects and/or technical and advisory experience in a construction related environment.

The ideal candidate will be expected to have sound knowledge of construction and building techniques and excellent awareness of the Building Regulations and British standards
