SEN Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth
A fantastic Special Needs School located in the Wandsworth Borough are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with special needs and other groups of children of varying abilities. The school offers numerous training opportunites and wants to help candidates become more confident working with children in a special needs setting!
You will be providing a general classroom support as a SEN Teaching Assistant under the guidance of the class teacher. The role is a fulltime position from Monday to Thursday, 8:45am to 4:45pm, and 4pm on Fridays.
Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant would be ideal but experience working with children in some form of capacity and willingness to work with SEN children is essential.

The Role:
Support pupils to achieve their goals as a SEN Teaching Assistant
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant
You must have a willingness to learn and be open about supporting SEN children as a SEN Teaching Assistant
Care about children’s learning, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and development as a SEN Teaching Assistant
Be proactive in helping students that need support during lessons
Requirements:
Available Monday to Thursday, 8:45 to 4:45 and 4pm on Fridays
Ideally have prior experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant
Must have experience working with children in some form of capacity
Willingness to learn and support SEN children
Either live in the Wandsworth borough, or within a commutable distance
