Risk and Compliance Manager

Location: England or Wales – Hybrid/Remote

Salary: Negotiable

Travel: Up to 50%

You’ll be supporting our businesses across England and Wales to deliver their objectives whilst ensuring they have a robust compliance controls in place.

You’ll be working as part of the Risk & Compliance team and be an active contributor to their growing function whilst supporting our hub businesses to enhance and achieve their goals.

The day-to-day:

  • Managing the risk and compliance service for the region.
  • Providing oversight and advice to the senior management teams
  • Ensure the businesses are operating in line with Group policies and frameworks
  • Involved in group wide projects to enhance the risk and compliance framework across all businesses
  • Assist with the development and updating of Risk Registers
  • Ensure all controls are regularly reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose, including file auditing being sufficiently robust
  • Maintain regional compliance registers – gifts, complaints, outsourcing, conflicts
  • Review Toba’s across broker/agency/AR spaces where appropriate to ensure appropriateness

Your Experience:

  • A strong skill set that includes high level stakeholder management, analytical, reasoning and IT Skills coupled with the ability to manage and coach a small team of staff
  • Ideally qualified to relevant level (Degree / CII Exams).
  • A solid understanding of FCA rules and procedures from either an Insurer or Broker background – due to the nature of this role prior compliance experience within Insurance / related markets is essential.
  • A full driving licence – travel is to be expected with this role, including the occasional overnight stay
