About The Role Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Net zero EV contract to supporting projects across the UK. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for supporting the commercial aspects of a programme of EV projects across the North of England & Wales according to agreed Service Level Agreements, Budgets, and Quality standards. They will work closely with other team members, stakeholders, and Clients to ensure project success. The projects will involve the installation of electrical and civils work associated with the provision of EV Charging sites. The Quantity Surveyor will be based out of our office in Liverpool and will support a team of construction managers, designers, planners, schedulers, and electricians, who will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of surveys, design and installation work. As a Quantity Surveyor your duties & responsibilities will be: Commercial Management: contributing to our compliance with commercial processes and procedures. Risk Management: timely identification and mitigation / communication of programme risks Building and maintaining relationships: building strong relationships with our clients and other stakeholders.This involves regular communication, understanding their needs and goals, and addressing any concerns or escalations. Supporting systems and processes that will contribute to a sustainable and commercially viable pipeline of work in line with any agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Collaborating with other members of the team: working closely with internal and subcontractor teams, such as SHEQ and Operational, to ensure customer needs are met and that we are providing the best possible service Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience of quantity surveying. Electrical or civils experience is desirable. Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel. Experience of accounting systems eg Oracle. Experience of managing Sub-contracts. A working knowledge of standard forms of contract in particular the NEC form. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Time management skills: ability to manage time effectively to complete the project within the given timeline. Decision-making skills: has the ability to make informed decisions that align with the project objectives.
