Quality Inspector

Our client is looking for a Quality Inspector with solid knowledge in Inspection of various materials and components within a manufacturing environment

* You will be responsible for the inspection of incoming goods, working collaboratively on a variety of materials and components for a range of electric motors.

* The role of the Quality Inspector will enhance the overall quality of the products, processes and in turn customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality Inspector

* Inspection of all incoming parts from suppliers and determining pass/fail

* CMM of parts, sub-assemblies and finished motors (Full training on CMM will be offered)

* Liaising with Quality and Production teams to discuss part issues

* Challenge and drive continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures

* Carry out routine calibration of equipment and tools – CMM, Faro Arm, calipers, bore gauges, go/no-go

Skills required: Quality Inspector

* Strong knowledge of in-goods inspection ideally for machined / forged/ cast metallic components however other materials or processes will be considered

* Confident use of inspection equipment, e.g. Faro Arm, calipers, bore gauges, go/no-go etc

* Meticulous attention to detail and confidence to challenge and use initiative

* Able to interpret technical drawings and produce CMM reports

* Customer focused and adaptable to changing environments and processes

* Good English, Maths and communication skills

* Experience of or natural interest in electric vehicles, cars, motorsport or hybrids and renewable technologies would be advantageous

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Quality Inspector

* Due to the handling of magnets, this role is not suitable for anyone with fitted pacemakers.

* It is advised that any applicants with excessive piercings would need to remove these during shift for your safety.

* Components are currently being delivered to site near Bicester but this will move to Silverstone in April 2022
