Purchasing Manager

The role will be responsible for leading a new team of supply chain operatives revolving around purchasing, purchasing systems & logistics to aid business delivery.

Key responsibilities within this role are inclusive of the following:

Strong knowledge of purchasing within an engineering/chemical engineering/technical environment with proven results
Collaboration with the sales team to justify necessities of products
Reporting market trends & analysis to stakeholders, directors and suppliers
Regular travel oversees to engage with suppliers inclusive of the EU/China
Global liaison with suppliers/stakeholders
Substantial negotiation skills
Cost reduction & consolidation
Ability to enhance and create supplier relationships
Implement and maintain the supply chain using strategic processes
Adhering to product conformity

Key attributes consist of:

Significant commercial knowledge of the market
Proven track record within an engineering/chemical engineering/manufacturing environment
CIPS/MCIPS qualified
Reading and analysing contracts
Clear and concise communication skills to influence decisions
Ability to focus on an individual level as well as within a team with like-minded persons
Previous experience of reading & understanding in depth technical drawings
Quick thinker able to provide fast reliable solutions for all parties
Accountability & initiative to implement plans of action
Passion for travel & company success

This role offers a salary of £40,000 – £55,000 D.O.E

The business is easily commutable from Milton Keynes, Banbury & Northampton
