Full Time – Monday to Friday
Our client is the leading service provider of Managed Equipment Services (MES) for the NHS and the private health sector in the UK. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team based in Theale, Berkshire.
To be considered for this role you must have previous project management experience, along with tracking of plans, flash reports, MS projects and RAID with the ability to communicate at varying levels, both written and verbal. Experience working within the healthcare industry would be an advantage.
You must have at least 3 years relatable UK based work experience to be considered.
Purpose of the Role
The project manager is responsible for managing projects, programs and workstreams. Enabling good outcomes, through support and guidance to project owners/leads and helping standardise project management across the organisation. Using project management methodologies, tools & techniques, and established project management standards, governance, and best practices. Ensuring that projects are completed on time, to the agreed design and ultimately meeting stakeholder expectations.
This exciting role covers a broad range of projects. The PMO function regularly reports into the board of directors, and this role will be instrumental in preparing and delivering these updates. The Project Manager will work autonomously to support all PMO project activities so experience in project management is essential.
Responsibilities
Take ownership for all assigned projects
Develop and maintain project management documents, including but not limited to; project charters, plans, action/decision logs, risk registers etc
Support other project managers in management and oversight of the PMO for all UK & I significant projects
Prepare update reports for board of directors’ regular briefings
Manage programmes, projects and workstreams. Support and facilitate meetings, both internal and external, both web based and face to face. Support project leads in preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes as appropriate
Organise and facilitate workshops
Support Project Leads in assign actions to project team members, as required, to achieve project objectives. Manage regular reviews and updates/progress
Ensure systems, processes and procedures are in place and followed to allow for the appropriate management of PMO projects
Apply project governance principles to all projects
Build and maintain a positive working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and at various levels
Manage third party suppliers and consultancies with project related activity
Utilise project management products to ensure project time, quality and resource parameters are tracked and updated
Adopt continuous improvement methodologies
Essential Skills & Experience
IT literacy – Good knowledge and abilities MS Office, MS Teams, MS Project
Must be highly organised, exercise good time management
Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with Stakeholders across multiple functions and at different levels
The ability to communicate fluently – written and verbal, at varying levels of seniority and remain confident engaging at various levels in a style that ensures a clear insight for stakeholders regarding project progress and goals
Customer focused and confident in working with customers to ensure their activity is delivered to plan
Knowledge of IT project lifecycle
Self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude, happy to work unsupervised and highly autonomous
Solutions driven and good problem solving abilities
Integrity and maintaining confidentiality
Experience
Project management – tracking of plans, flash reports, MS Projects, RAID etc
Working in the healthcare industry – desirable
Managing complex multidiscipline projects that cross business lines e.g. IT, Business Development, Operations, Compliance

Maternity – 21 weeks full enhanced maternity pay; this is inclusive of Statutory Maternity pay. Plus, after the employee has returned from Maternity Leave for 3 months, a 10% bonus will be paid, (with a commitment to work for 6 months plus)
