They are famous across the Midlands for their diverse project list and exceptional service. They offer Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and Principal Design, which enables them to advise their clients from the initial design phase, all the way through to completion.They are now seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in leading projects between £1m – £30m. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership skills in a complex environment and have the ability to provide strategic and innovative solutions to clients are required.Senior Project Manager requirements* Degree qualified in a relevant discipline* Experience managing the JCT form of contract* Experience in successful delivery of major projects throughout the whole project lifecycle* 5 years’ experience of working in a consultancy* Excellent communication skills* Chartership of relevant professional organisation (strongly desired but not essential) MRICS, MCIOB* Management of the technical aspects of design, procurement, implementation and close-out in accordance with the programme* Develop the strategy for procurement and delivery of various construction schemes from inception to ensure successful completion of projects* Project management of complex construction schemes through the whole project lifecycle* Manage budgets* Construction background would be highly advantageous* Co-ordination of all relevant parties of the project from inception to closeout* Assist clients in defining project requirements* Facilitate procurement and contract management* Enable and lead value management and value engineering exercises* Stakeholder management and co-ordination of third-party interfaces* Provide regular risk management* Develop relationships and contacts* Act on behalf of clients, lead negotiations and co-ordinate client and supplier teams.* You will know the principles of Project Management, and have the ability to:* Strategically plan, monitor and control the work of self and others taking account of the priorities of projects* plan, monitor and control the delivery of projects to clients* communicate with others and clients* report the commercial status of projects in accordance with company methods* assist project delivery to the cost, the time and the quality objectives of the company and clients* understand the factors affecting motivation of project team members and techniques for risk management* utilise MS Office, Ms Project, earned value and reporting tools* work on complex construction projectsThey work with an array of clients and are looking for candidates who have experience of Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Hotel, Retail and Leisure, Critical environments, Education, Affordable Housing and more.This is an amazing opportunity to join a forward thinking, flexible workspace in the heart of Birmingham and help to deliver some fantastic projects, develop your career and grow with the company
