Production Operative

Our new client are a high motivated team at who are intent on driving a business that offers what so many seem to struggle to do today. This is to supply a quality product with on line deliveries from a friendly team that communicate with the customer.

Due to a recent relocation and increase in Volumes, they are currently seeking production Operatives to join their operation at their new site between Fenstanton and Fen Drayton in Cambridgeshire on a temp to perm basis.

Their core business product is composite doors and they have roles available in various departments they are looking to fill including Hanging, Quality control ,Glass and Paint spraying.

Core duties and responsibilities – (dependent on department)

– Hanging of doors on to frames (some training given)

– Quality control ensuring the maintaining high standards of the product at all times

– Fitting, inserting and securing glass within doors according to design spec

– Paint spraying (For those with previous experience)

– Material Handling

– General upkeep of work areas

-Liasing with management to prioritise workload

-Adherance to Health and Safety protocols at all times

– Any other reasonable work related request delegated by Supervisors

Ideal Candidate –

– Must be physically Fit due to lifting of goods and overall nature of the role

– Reliability and punctuality a must

– Previous experience in a production Environment desirable

– Knowledge of a basic trade, predominantly woodwork would be advantageous

– Somebody manually dextrous and hands on in their approach

– A good team player who participates to ''get the job done''

– Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision (After training)

– No issue with early starts and a f;exible attitude when appropriate

– Own transport preferred or living relatively local to the site destination

Pay Rate – £10 p/h for Production Operatives

£12 p/h for Operatives with paint spraying experience

This is a great opportunity for somebody whom enjoys manual work and is hands on who is also looking to receive excellent training from an established company at a new site.

The company offer overtime rates of £12.50 p/h after 45 hours for production Ops and £15 p/h overtime rate for people with paint spraying knowledge.

The client have specifically implied they will offer full time contracts after 14 weeks to people who demonstrate capability and can offer job security in the uncertain times we face.

Working Hours 06.30 – 16.00 Mon-Fri (45 hour week)
