Production Engineer

You will be part of the Production Engineering Team working in collaboration with the Production Supervisor, Quality and Production teams to resolve engineering issues necessary to meet Customer demand and expectation.


* To plan production methods for parts requiring Production Engineering including the completion of process routing sheets

* To design jigs fixtures and special tooling to support the production process

* Ensure correct tooling is available to produce components in an efficient manner

* To assist with the control of revision levels of customer drawings

* Liaise with and prepare any customer required technical information

* To provide technical support and assistance to the Production and Quality Teams

* To produce required CAD Data and Coordinates for Machines, including part programs using Featurecam as required

* Works in a timely manner to meet the weekly Production plan whilst ensuring no delays due to Engineering

* To ensure that the Company Quality standards are followed

* To produce CMM checking programmes for repeat work

* The updating of routings as required to current methods

* The updating of Bills of Materials as required to current methods

* The photographing and recording of fixtures and set ups as required onto Progress

* To assist with the replenishment and maintenance of tooling in the company computerised tool crib

* Actively monitor working practises and provide feedback to improve efficiencies and job profitability

* To assist in providing quotations/estimates as required

* Comply with the company Health & Safety procedures

* Comply with the company Environmental and Recycling policy

* Undertaking any additional duties as required

Knowledge requirements:

* Knowledge gained through a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship

* Proven experience gained in a Production Engineering environment
