Production Engineer Belfast Salary £48,000 Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing company based in Belfast. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the optimisation of all production processes identifying opportunities to reduce waste and maximise process efficiency. Your new role Provide technical leadership to production team members. Co-ordinate process related fault finding and issue resolutions. Utilise lean techniques, experience and knowledge to enhance manufacturing processes by improving yield, quality, throughput and productivity. Work with the production team to drive efficiency advances within manufacturing & operational processes. Monitor efficiency of production output and swiftly react to resolve any negative trends Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects. Actively participate in the planning and implementation of capital improvement projects. Provide support and training to the operations team as required. Review improvement of equipment, process control sequencing and operating procedures. Train production operators to improve their process knowledge and technical problem-solving skills. What you’ll need HNC in an engineering related subject OR time served Maintenance Technician with suitable experience in a production environment. At least five years’ experience in ideally a food manufacturing environment. Excellent knowledge of production processes and continuous improvement. Experience of PLCs, variable speed drives and fault-finding.
