Opportunity for a process engineer to work for an established manufacturing company who supply precision-engineered products. The role will enable you to be hands-on making improvements and troubleshooting complex issues with a range of equipment from simple pick and place machines through to complex automated processes.
You will be working a 3 shift pattern of days (6am-2pm), afternoons (2pm-10pm) and nights (10pm-6am) and will have involvement in the introduction of new equipment along with the maintenance and improvement of existing processes onsite.
As the process engineer, your duties will include:
Setup, commissioning and validation of new equipment and processes
Contributing to the site meeting output and quality requirements
Helping with diagnosis to eradicate production, technical and quality issues
Assisting in making changes to prevent quality and production issues occurring
Communicating with management teams to update them regarding any issues and improvements
Training staff relating to changes to processesTo apply for the process engineer role, you will need:
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
A time served engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical/electronic engineering, toolmaking, etc.)
Knowledge of tools such as RCA, 8D, FMEA, etc.In return, the process engineer will receive a salary of £27,000 – £32,000 including shift allowance (dependent on experience – possibly more for the right person. + pension, etc.
