Process Engineer
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding Essex based organisation that is recognised as a specialist supplier of RF, microwave and sensing component and sub-systems, with a strong, and in a number of cases, leading positions in global, niche markets.
A vacancy has arisen for a Process Engineer to join the Engineering Function. The main purpose of this role is to develop and maintain improved processes so that production efficiency is maximised and process quality improves.
Responsibilities for the Process Engineer, based in Essex:
Improve product quality.
MPS Adherence
Price of Non-conformance (PoNC); scrap, warranty and rework.
On-time in full delivery to customer (OTIF)
Technical drawings
BoM and routings
Deviation management
Risk and COSHH assessments
Desired Experience for the Process Engineer:
Any of the design for: manufacture (DFM), assembly (DFA) or test (DFT).
Materials and their properties; grain structures, annealing temperatures, vacuum compatibility, etc.
Thermodynamics and its impact upon material properties and manufacturing processes.
Joining techniques (TIG welding, brazing, induction heating).
