We are looking for two accountants to join our client in Chester, arole offering career and professional development opportunities.

Salary circa £35k pa negotiable DOE.
Hybrid working 37.5 hour week Monday – Friday

What youll do
You’ll get involved in all day-to-day queries from your clients which could relate too cash-flow, accounts treatment, company tax advice, personal tax advice, CIS,VAT and PAYE.
You’ll provide a proactive service to clients and ensure they are kept informed with full visibility of all areas of their accounts
If you love proactive tax and accounting support, you’ll be thrilled to support the companies 250+ clients via telephone and in writing
You’ll prepare statutory accounts including prep of accounts and supporting tax calculations for customers who require year end and cessation.
Liaising with HMRC regarding business and personal tax
Assist in preparing self-assessment tax returns
You will provide support to the teams accounts assistants and on ad hoc basis cleanup on other projects
You’ll have the opportunity to voice any process improvements you feel are necessary to your role
Experience you need
We’d love to speak to candidates who have experience as a practice accountant,trainee accountant or similar accountant for small traders
If you have an industry background but feel you can work under pressure and want a chance in practice, please give us a call.
If you have an AAT qualification or similar we’d like to hear from you
If you understand MTD (making tax digital) and have good excel skills, confident using Look Ups and Pivot Tables we’d like to speak to you.
