HOURS OF WORK: 20:00 – 06:00 (NIGHTS) Mon-Thu
BASIC SALARY: £26,363.79 (Annually)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Yealry bonus, attendance bonus, 33 days holiday, pension.

Our client is seeking a Packing Operator to join their organisation based in Wellingborough on a permanent basis to assemble and pack products to meet planned volumes and targets in accordance with safety and quality standards. Responsible for delivering manufacturing production performance targets by following agreed operating procedures and actively participating in continuous improvement methodologies to improve performance in terms of HSE, quality, cost, delivery and team development.
In this Packing Operator role, you will:
Assemble packaging components and pack finished goods
Replenish components on filling and packing lines
Operate packaging/filling equipment after training and demonstrating the required competence level
Record and monitor filling and packing data in terms of output and adherence to plan
Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping
Participate and contribute to daily briefings, MDI boards Tier 1
Actively participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities
Have a sound knowledge of systems and procedures and carry out all work in a safe manner, reporting any issues via the appropriate system
Competent in all packing tasks in order that he/she can rotate regularly
Challenges personal performance and develops own skills and supports the team to deliver consistent results
Demonstrate a basic understanding of the business and where the supply chain and packing operations fit as part of the business strategyIn order to be successful as a Packing Operator you must:
Must be competent in numeracy to read and understand numbers, works orders, safety documentation filling records, interpret and manipulate data where required.
Physical dexterous, ability to work quickly, accurately and safely
Experience in chemical filling & packing industry desirable
Good verbal communication and teamwork skills to work with colleagues to achieve individual and team targets
Desire to work in line with the company values
Good understanding of packaging requirements – final packaging to customer
