Operations Planner

Who we are:

Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey.

We design, build and maintain the UK’s utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better.

We are proud to work in partnership with our clients, including Severn Trent, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, Scottish Water, Northern Powergrid and Scottish Power.

The Role:

Our Planning team is growing, and we are looking for motivated individuals to come and join us here at Avove, a business who cares about their colleagues.As an Operations Planner you will ensure work is coordinated and scheduled efficiently for our Field Operatives who cover the North West. This is a full time permanent role based at our office at Brighouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete set productivity targets for planners
  • To plan a full schedule of works in line with the set targets i.e. commercial & to be planed ahead by 7 days.
  • To keep a track of Ops non-completions throughout the day and plan top-up work to meet the completion targets.
  • To work closely with stores/supervisors in order to plan and complete jobs.
  • Answering and resolving customer enquiries and demonstrating ownership of the problem
  • Answering incoming calls from Customer and Yorkshire Water in line with the contract SLA’s
  • Build effective working relationships with the field operations.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Planning Team Leader.

  • Good IT Skills – Word/Excel
  • Strong admin skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A good knowledge of the scheduling function.
