With time and experience, you will also attend breakdowns. This is a field service role covering a territory within the North East of approximately a 30-mile radius. With the role being North East based there is no working away from home and the role is day shift hours only. These are permanent roles from day one.The organisation is a specialist in their field and they pride themselves on delivering the highest level of service to their customers. You will be inspecting, servicing, maintaining and repairing overhead cranes and lifting equipment across a wide range of industries.Our client currently has a turnover of £10M which is set to rise to £19M over the next 5 years. Their industry is booming, their order book is extremely secure and the business has realistic expectations for growth. They truly invest in their staff and offer an initial 12-week induction programme, plus access to a wide range of accredited training to upskill their engineers.Although candidates must be time served within an Electrical discipline, such as maintenance or installation, no prior experience working within the lifting industry is required. Full training is provided and all subsequent training/accreditations is expensed by and catered for by the business. To be successful in this role you must have good electrical/mechanical knowledge and be able to deliver high levels of customer service.THE ROLEWorking in a field service capacity (30-mile radius North East)Inspecting, servicing and repairing overhead cranesAttending breakdownsWorking at height to fix overhead cranesElectrical fault-finding duties using electrical equipment such as fluke metersDelivering mechanical repairsWorking with inverters, gear boxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsEnsuring strong levels of customer service – being the face of the business to valued clientsCompleting paper work and updating maintenance logsWorking on projects and undertaking installation workOccasionally attending out of hours breakdownsTHE PERSONNo prior experience of the lifting/crane industry requiredTime served electrically qualifiedUnderstanding and knowledge of electrical drawings an advantageComfortable working at heightValid UK Driving LicenceCustomer FocusedAttention to Detail with a trouble shooting approachOrganised and PresentableLEEA Qualifications, an advantage but not essentialAdditional Desirable Qualifications & TrainingNational Safety Passport (company can provide)National Safety Supervisor Passport (company can provide)Abrasive Wheels (company can provide)EMSS Safety Passport (company can provide)Harness Training (company can provide)IPAF (company can provide)LEEA (company can provide)Working at Height (company can provide)THE PACKAGEThe hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm. Monday’s comprise of a 7:30am start but you finish at 4pm on a Friday. The position centres on a 40-hour week.
