Mechanical Manager – Facilities Management (FM)Search are recruiting for an FM Mechanical Manager to join a major facilities management firm, covering the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire region. You will be office based in Aberdeen. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Scotland’s best names in facilities management.Purpose of role:Responsible for the provision of servicing, maintenance, installation and repair activities within commercial buildings; all in accordance with all company and legislative requirements. Engineers will work on an individual basis and will form part of a team to provide an out of hours on call service on a rotational basis.Duties & Responsibilities: To oversee members of staff and sub-contractors on-site, including day to day support, continual training and to effectively resolve any issues that may arise. Manage annual and interim cyclical maintenance visits in compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations. Manage, installation of gas pipework including appropriate tightness / strength testing as required. Oversee Replacement of heating controls and components as per manufacturer’s instructions. Fault investigation and diagnosis utilizing manufacturer’s technical literature. Manage gas escapes and reports of suspected fumes as per the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations. Compliance with the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedures, including warning labels and notices as required. A high level of health and safety awareness to ensure, always establish and maintain high working standards. Prepare & Update H&S documentation, including all aspects of the company SMS. Manage procurement of all equipment, including technical reviews, obtaining relevant approvals, and keeping within budgets. Report to senior management on a regular basis regarding progress / performance of projects Assist commercial dept. with the financial aspects of the project, which include providing accurate labour projections. Attend / chair various client / contractor meetings Skills & Knowledge: Proven track record of managing a team and successfully delivering Energy sector or M&E installation projects. Thorough understanding of M&E works. Commercial ACS qualifications CCN1, CODN01, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CONLP1 -1PD OFTEC and BPEC registration (where required) Water Byelaws qualification Awareness of Health & Safety Regulations Full clean and current driving licence Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative. Demonstrate high standards of working practice and lead by example. Good communication skills Team player Flexible approach Person Specification: Apprenticeship in mechanical discipline HNC Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Heating / Plumbing Essential Attributes:Drivers LicenceDesirable Attributes:Experienced CAFM User / Maximo, Word, Excell, Great communications skills, Able to work part of a large team, PDA, I.T. Skills Experience on dealing with large incidents. Salary & Package:Salary circa £50-55,000 + car allowance35 days holiday per year, a group pension plan, private healthcare, and other fantastic benefits.
