Global Pharmaceutical Company based in Cambridge are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team to provide engineering analysis and design support in the medical sector.
As Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for managing the development of drug delivery devices, which may include tasks from all stages of device development via analysis, testing, validation, manufacture and complaints investigations. You will be focused on the implementation and transfer-to-manufacture of device designs including design for assembly and manufacture (DFA and DFM), specifying assembly and automated test equipment and developing criteria for acceptance and release testing.
The key skills required for this role will be:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
Experience of using CAD software, preferable Pro-Engineer / Creo.
Hand calculations and simulation.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Experience of equipment specification and qualification.
Understanding of quality management systems.
Experience within the medical device sector would be advantageous.
