Mechanical Design Engineer – Bristol (Permanent)
A local start-up business has reached out asking for our help to find them a Research and Development Engineer. To join a small but growing team leading the design and manufacture of specialist opto-mechanical products in Bristol, who plan to be world leading suppliers.
The company has a strong pipeline of new and future projects that a you could be apart of.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing, building and testing prototypes
Responsible for building and installing the systems for the customers
Heavily involved in the research and development aspect
Owning the specification, design integration and delivery.
Liaising with software engineer, technical advisor and physicists
A good understanding of optics and optical systems
Opto-mechanical design experience
Measurement instrumentation experience
3D CAD experience
Desired Experience (But not required)
Python and/or C++The company is offering a very competitive salary & benefits package, although this is completely dependent on experience.
