Light Commercial Vehicle Master Technician
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £44,200 and OTE of up to £50,000

We are seeking an experienced LCV Engineer who can ensure customers vehicles are repaired and back on the road, efficiently and quickly as possible. The successful candidate will diagnose, service, adjust, and repair vehicles or components.

Shift patterns are:
3 Weeks at 7.30am-16.30pm Monday to Friday
1 Week at 10.00am-19.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 7.00am-12.00pm

Typical duties:
Service and Inspect vehicles completely and report on vehicles condition, safety, reliability, and performance.
Diagnose. observe, recognise, and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
Ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork and electronic documentation are completed and signed off.
Interpret and implement technical service instructions data, to ensure a repair or replacement component is replaced or repair in line with manufactures instruction.
Draw the Supervisor/Workshop Controllers/Service Advisors attention to any faults notice in either the interests of the owner or other faults that could make the vehicle dangerous or illegal if taken out on a public highway.
To protect all vehicles under repair against damage and to inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the working area and a presentable personal appearance whilst always observing the Group Health & Safety and Environmental Policy.
Report any broken or faulty equipment to your Supervisor/Manager in line with our Group Health & Safety Policy.
As an LCV Mechanic we will be looking for you to be able to demonstrate:
Manufacturer Master Technician qualifications with a proven track record as a Technician in a workshop
Strong diagnostic skills
Strong mechanical ability
Enthusiastic, Team Player, Flexible
It would be advantageous if you had:
Hold a current class 4 and 7 MOT Tester certification & a full valid UK driving license
Electric vehicle Training (or the willingness to train)
Experience mentoring apprentice Technician's
