IT Support Technician – Reading – GBP £30,000 + Monthly car allowance

Are you looking to progress in your IT career? Our client, is a leader in the Health and Wellness Space based in Reading and they are now looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join their team!

Job Description

As a IT Support Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different users and be responsible for providing Senior 2nd Line support to Users onsite and remotely. You will also be required to drive to Sites across the South and Midlands, so a valid driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a range of Users to provide 2nd Line IT support on-site and remotely
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating to higher-level support where necessary
  • Install and upgrade hardware and software
  • Ensure all tickets are logged and updated on to the helpdesk system
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, providing regular updates on progress
  • Travel to client sites as required, maintaining a professional manner at all times
  • Work on ad-hoc IT projects and tasks as required

Key Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a 2nd line IT support role
  • Strong technical knowledge across a range of systems, including Windows Operating systems, Office 365 and networking knowledge
  • Mac experience is desirable
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure or AWS is desirable
  • A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
