HV Cable Jointer

Our client are a leading a high voltage engineering company specialising in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable generation.
This exciting opportunity to join our client has been created because of their continued success and expansion within the marketplace, in particular the renewable energy industry. They are looking to recruit an experienced HV Cable Jointer; this role is diverse, challenging and rewarding.
Duties will include:
* Carry out HV cable jointing and terminations on 11kV and 33kV „
* Carry out earthing and cable installations
* Assist electricians and other trades on larger installations
* Take supervisory role when necessary
* Mentor and coach junior staff in developing their knowledge and skills
* Assist with site breakdowns and investigative procedures
* Carry our work in a safe manner, always adhering to health and safety procedures
* Act as a competent person to receive safety documentation
* Take personal ownership and responsibility of any company property entrusted to them
* Project a professional image to clients and colleagues
This is a home based position with nationwide travel requiring overnight stays as and when required. All costs to be covered by our client.
Criteria
* Experience of working on HV projects, ideally up to 33kV
* Knowledge of Cable Jointing on IDNO / DNO network
* Must hold JIB approved ECS card
* Ability to work proactively on own or as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
