Health and Safety Manager – 6 month contract – highways project (civil engineering) – £400-£500 per day (inside IR35) – St Neots, CambridgeshireResponsibilities:-• Ensuring compliance with and reporting on performance of the Company management system and statutory provisions• Assist the Project teams with the production, review and implementation of the Construction Phase Plan / Project Execution Plan• Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties• Communicate effectively (Accurate, Relevant and Timely) with their line manager, particularly with the escalation of accidents and incidents• Conduct accident and incident investigations identifying root cause and contributory factors• Ensuring close out of all remedial actions in relation to accidents and incidents• Ensuring incidents are reported onto relevant data base systems including any client designated system• Co-ordinate the auditing of projects under their responsibility and others as directed• Auditing of contractors, designers, suppliers and coordinating with the Procurement TeamRequirements:-• Previous experience at a senior safety level in delivery of a relevant construction project e.g. large infrastructure Health & Safety• NEBOSH General Certificate or above• Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH• Experience of managing highways work
